As we know from research, students learn in varied ways. Universal Design for Learning provides teachers with practical strategies and techniques to ensure that ALL Learners can meet the high expectations of the new iLearn assessments and classroom expectations. UDL addresses the WHY, WHAT and HOW of Learning. We learn strategies for engaging students of all levels, how to present information and content in various ways to reach ALL learners, and how to differentiate and scaffold content to meet the needs of ALL Learners. UDL is NOT one more thing…..UDL is a tool that will help you plan for ALL students in a holistic way.

During this workshop, we will:

  • Dive into the UDL Framework and learn more about its components
  • Investigate how to apply UDL principles to the design of lessons and curriculum units
  • Share tools and templates for utilizing UDL principles
  • Learn how to support students to become master learners
  • Begin a plan for implementing UDL in your classroom
