~Design STEM Virtual Kids Conference for 4th & 5th Grade Classrooms - Hosted by Purdue CATALYST - May 9

WVEC Member Schools 4th and 5th grade classrooms can participate in the Design STEM Virtual Kids Conference hosted by CATALYST. Take a virtual fieldtrip with your class to give students the opportunity to explore and engage in inquiry/project-based STEM activities. Curriculum guides and supplies are provided for the activities. Teachers pick one of the following dates to participate: November 9, November. You will lead your class in two sessions during the day; from 9:30 to 11:00 and 12:30 to 2:00 (NOTE: All times are Eastern Standard Time). Teachers pick one of the following dates to participate: November 9, November 10, May 9, or May 10. THIS REGISTRATION IS FOR MAY 9.

• This field trip is for 4th and 5th grade classrooms only.  This is a classroom activity and registration is for one individual 4th or 5th grade classroom.
• Multiple teachers from a school can participate, but each classroom and teacher will need to have their own separate classroom registration.  
• Choose ONE day: Nov 9, Nov 10, May 9 or May 10.
• This registration is for May 9.
• Be aware that all times are Eastern Time.  If your school is in the Central time zone, you may need to make special arrangements with your students.

Your Class Will Participate in two sessions on your chosen day:

• 9:30-11:00 and 12:30–2:00 (Eastern Time)

• Only 16 classrooms can be registered for each day
• All materials and a teacher guide will be delivered to your corporation office for each classroom
• Teachers are asked to participate in a virtual technology check and lesson overview before the conference - (Purdue will set this up with you later)
• A link will be sent to teachers one week prior to conference
